Need to find an adapter to tap overseas?

We purchased a faucet on ebay which is considered Europe. It comes with its own water lines to measure (braided hoses) that are in m / m with connector 5.8. Most water lines are f / f and it is already a problem. In addition, our sources are 3 / 8. We can not find a card that can be installed on 5 / 8 and 3 / 8 threaded iron. Also, you can not change the water lines because they are specifically adapted to this valve. We want this problem with a good pair of taps, we seek our basin. We went to Lowes and got out of the box itself, and is very different. I thought 8.3 was the norm, then why I'm not even the United States vary. We like the tap and try to find a way to solve this problem. I am not a plumber and I apologize for the jargon. I contacted the manufacturer and all we can do is issue me a refund part that does not even cover the cost of a new or solve the problem.

This is probably the thread that is the problem. I know this is not what we want to hear, but again the sale and obtain a model of "American"?
