Farm House

There is no absolute model of a farm, but most of us can recognize when we see it. By definition, the originals were in the farm and part of the life and work of these farming families living there.

As soon as these houses were built, which could be of stone, bricks, tiles, or shingles. Most farms have porches because they did not have air conditioning and many farms and family tasks were carried out. The roof of the gallery has provided shelter from sun and rain even allowed cool breezes to flow through and help the hot summers tolerable.

The heart of the property family was in the kitchen. The meals were prepared and often eat there and home canning, pickling and long winters (north). In ancient farms, Home cooking is an essential one. Outbreaks were used to heat many pieces as possible.

I live in an old farmhouse originally built around 1790, adding in 1800 and more recently added to my family. I came to appreciate the simple details of the story fireplace, wide and handsome.

In the design of a modern farm, porches, floors, fireplace, wide and beautiful are welcome. The plan can Hall Center Hall, room side or a variant of the two. Meeting places inside the house are so important today as they were 200 years ago. Modern farms are mainly large bright kitchen to accommodate the inevitable arrival of the family and friends. In these days many families spend most of their time in the kitchen, eating, talking, studying and visiting. Energy efficiency is important, with some farms using the panels and geothermal heating and solar cooling in the barn.

We are fortunate to inherit the tradition of our founding families, including their most valuable holding.

Water System

Do you have a garden or lawn watering often? Want to reduce the amount of water you use and save money on their energy bills? If the answer to these questions is yes, then you should consider installing a rain recovery your backyard.

A collection system rain is a large cylinder with a pin fastening on the bottom and two holes of inlet and an overflow line at the top. For a project DIY, you need a barrel of fifty-five gallon food grade. Sure the barrel is thoroughly cleaned before installation. The gun is connected its roof down. When it rains, the water entering your roof is caught in the rain barrel. When water flows recovery system is complete, through overflow valve.

Your system will collect rainwater and store it until needed. Be sure to use the water collected in a month, one to help to minimize the chances of bacteria buildup. You can use the collected water on your garden, lawn or cleaning. By matching tasks that require quality drinking water, such as cleaning, so we have collected, to reduce the demand for a scarce resource. Furthermore, it takes a lot of energy to your town once supplied drinking water. Using a collection system reduces the amount of energy, which we all use.

When rain falls on impervious surfaces, as asphalt or roof, the water heats up dramatically and quickly fled. When heated, the rapid movement of water may have a detrimental impact on the environment and is a major cause of erosion. Its water barrel rain help reduce runoff from heated impervious surfaces.

The construction of a water collection device is an easy DIY project and fun. With fifty-five gallon barrel and parts from your local hardware store, you can create your own recovery system and have it installed and operational in one day. For those not looking for a project, Watter barrel systems can be purchased at many online retailers of hundred dollars. Whatever the defeat of his selection, your operating system allows you to save money on their utility bills, reduce the amount of water you use, and also to reduce the adverse effects of runoff impervious surfaces.
