How to calculate the surface of a tank covered if the coverage is part of a hollow sphere?
How to calculate the area covered if the tank coverage is part of a hollow sphere, while D = shell diameter H = height of the cover t = thickness of tank wall = thickness of the cover.
use the following formula .. totatal surface = [(H / D) * 4 (PIE) (0.5D * 0,5 D)] + [(height) / (D-2t) * 4 (EIP) * (0.5Dt) (0.5Dt)] + [(PIE) (0.5D * 0.5D) - (PIE) (0.5Dt) (0.5Dt)], whereas D = diameter reservoir is the outside diameter and not the cavity outer surface of the deck = (H / D) * 4 * (PIE) (0.5D * 0.5D) inner surface coverage = [(H) / (D-2t) * 4 * (EIP) * (0.5Dt) (0.5Dt)], the base reference = [(PIE) (0.5D * 0.5D) - (PIE) (0.5Dt) (0.5Dt)]
