Control Valve
How does a valve that regulates pressure right? If we begin to close the control valve, increased pressure?

or decreased? and to be clear, as we are closing the valve and thus control the flow decreases, wouldnt fluid pressure before the control valve?

A pressure control valve is a pressure regulator. Its basic requirement is the inlet pressure should be output. Automatically adjusts speed to maintain a constant outlet pressure. This is not something you open or closed, but only to adjust the output pressure (should be variable). Most are established for a particular pressure and sealed in it.
